  • The residual values of points are not part of the current API; any function that had an association with residual values was either removed or adapted accordingly.
  • Improve behaviour of points when reading invalid data (e.g. marker occlusion). Instead of reading 0, now reads NaN and no longer has to rely on residuals.

  • All functions related to Vicon analysis were removed pending community discussion. This part was removed from the C3D specifications.
  • All MetaData functions with a variadic overload (any arguments of the form ...) are removed. They were not necessary as the C3D file format has only two levels of depth.
  • btkAppendAnalysisParameter: removed as the managed metadata was Vicon-specific and is no longer in the official C3D specification.
  • btkAppendForcePlatformType2: not implemented; design needs review with the community.

  • btkCloseAcquisition: not implemented as memory management was improved.
  • btkCloneAcquisition: no plan to implement; no feedback received on its current usage.
